At Atlas Imsker, every guest brings their own story — and sometimes, those stories turn into unforgettable adventures. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Joreno and Maikel from the Netherlands, two travelers whose passion for nature and discovery filled our guest house with positive energy and laughter.
From the moment they arrived in Imsker village, it was clear they were eager to explore the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains. After a warm welcome and a few cups of traditional Moroccan mint tea, we planned a hike together to one of Morocco’s greatest treasures — Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
The journey began early in the morning, following winding paths through valleys and Berber villages surrounded by walnut trees and mountain streams. The rhythm of the hike was peaceful yet full of excitement, with friendly conversations, shared smiles, and plenty of moments to pause and take in the stunning mountain scenery.
Reaching the summit just as the sun began to rise over the Atlas Mountains was a moment of pure magic. The horizon slowly turned gold and orange, revealing a breathtaking panorama that words can hardly describe. For a few quiet minutes, we all stood there — above the clouds, watching the new day awaken across the peaks and valleys below.
It was more than just a hike; it was a shared experience of friendship, discovery, and connection with nature.
Thank you, Joreno and Maikel, for coming all the way from the Netherlands and choosing Atlas Imsker as your mountain home. Your adventurous spirit and joy will always be part of our guest house’s story.
